Your mailbox stays yours.

ClaroMail is a Chrome extension that talks to Microsoft on your behalf. We do not run a mail server, and we do not sell your data.

Mail stays with Microsoft

Scan, delete, and block actions go to Microsoft Graph. ClaroMail does not store your messages on our servers.

You decide

Nothing is deleted or blocked until you choose it. Soft-delete moves mail to Deleted Items — it does not permanently purge.

We don’t sell data

Mailbox data is used only to clean your inbox by sender. Not for ads, not for resale.

Limited Use

Use of information received from Microsoft Graph adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Information we handle

  1. Microsoft account. When you sign in, Microsoft issues access tokens so ClaroMail can call Graph as you. We store those tokens locally in Chrome storage on your device.
  2. Mailbox metadata used to scan. For the folder you choose, ClaroMail reads message id, sender name and address, subject, and received date. It does not download message bodies for scanning.
  3. Sent-mail recipients. To tell who you have emailed, ClaroMail reads To, Cc, and Bcc addresses from Sent Items — not the bodies of those messages.
  4. Keep list. Addresses and domains you mark to keep are stored locally in Chrome storage on your device.
  5. Profile basics. Graph User.Read may return display name and mailbox address so the side panel can show who is signed in.
  6. Contact email. If you write us at hello@claromail.app, we receive whatever you send.
  7. This website. claromail.app is a static site. Our host may keep ordinary request logs (such as IP address and browser) to operate the site.

How we use it

  1. To group mail by sender, move selected messages to Deleted Items, and create or update server-side inbox rules on your Microsoft mailbox.
  2. To remember your Keep list and sign-in session on this device.
  3. To respond if you email us for access or support.
  4. To comply with law if we are required to.

Where data goes

  1. Microsoft. Authentication and mailbox operations use Microsoft identity and Graph. Microsoft’s own terms and privacy policy apply to that processing.
  2. Your browser. Tokens, Keep list, and extension settings stay in Chrome local storage until you sign out, clear them, or uninstall the extension.
  3. We do not sell personal information, use mailbox data for advertising, or transfer your mail to a ClaroMail backend.
  4. We may disclose information if required by law.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

ClaroMail’s single purpose is inbox cleanup by sender. Mailbox data is used only to provide or improve that user-facing feature. We do not use it to train general-purpose AI models, and we do not sell or transfer it for advertising. The use of information received from Microsoft Graph will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention

  1. Local tokens and Keep list remain on your device until you remove them or uninstall ClaroMail.
  2. Inbox rules and Deleted Items live on your Microsoft mailbox until you (or Microsoft) change or empty them.
  3. Email you send us is kept only as long as needed to respond and run the product.

Your choices

  1. You choose which folder to scan and which senders to act on.
  2. You can restore mail from Deleted Items in Outlook.
  3. You can sign out, remove Keep list entries, or uninstall the extension at any time.
  4. Email hello@claromail.app to ask about personal information we hold from your messages to us.

Children

ClaroMail is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as ClaroMail evolves. The new version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
